English for Science and Technology (EST) provides students with the language basis to access and understand materials on science and technology and to express these ideas and concepts in English.

The objective of this learning resource is enable students to:
  • Obtain information by reading and understanding different text types on science and technology of English.
  • Obtain information by listening to texts on science and technology in English.
  • Excess and understand information on the internet and other electronic media.
  • Present information on science and technology in English at an appropriate level in both the spoken and written forms.
  • Think critically and give their viewpoints on issues pertaining to science and technology.
