  • Avoid Stepping on or sweep any burnt offerings like hell money's ashes or incense or eat anything that is offered to the Spirits.
  • Avoid Talking big or cursing foul languages on the night of Hungry Ghost Festival and avoid walking alone.. or you will see either black or white figures, wearing a Tall Hat with 4 chinese characters written on it and a face without eyes and only a red mouth and they greet you by sticking out their long red tongue.
  • Before entering a Hotel room, remember to knock on the door 3 times and ask if anyone’s home before entering.
  • Avoid consulting spirits for Fame and Fortune. It’s like Making a Pact with the devil. Costs your life!
