Starbucks recently opened its second outlet in Kuching after entering the Sarawak market last July. It is located at The Spring, Kuching’s latest shopping mall, the new outlet occupies 1,484 square feet indoors and 274 square feet outdoors. “Kuching is a new market for Starbucks . The airport outlet has been doing well and they felt it was time to open a second outlet,” marketing and communications director Sydney Quay said.
He said the outlet would provide opportunities for customers to explore the world of coffee through educational programmes conducted by Starbucks coffee masters. “We continuously educate customers interested in learning more about coffee by holding sampling programmes and coffee seminars,” he added. Starbucks The Spring is open daily from 9am to 11pm and offers free Wi-Fi service to customers.
